Blue Merle remedies are made from samples of infected material taken from animals suffering from a particular complaint. Once this sample has been isolated, homoeopathic pharmacists take the material through a process of manufacture called potentisation and succusion. This process was pioneered by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann during the late 1700's and early 1800's.

When this has been done, no trace of the original infected material is left and the resulting product, known as a tincture, is completely safe and stable. This tincture is then diluted to make a useable remedy known as a nosode. The Blue Merle method of making and using the nosode is designed to be simple, flexible and effective.

Some of our products are blends of the above, mixed with other homoeopathic tinctures, made from material collected from plants, herbs, minerals and the animal kingdom. In some cases, only material from one of these sources is needed, as in the case of warts in cattle, which can be treated using the remedy Thuja. Warts can also be treated using a tincture made from a wart.

No homoeopathic product works in a test tube or in a laboratory test. It must be used in a living animal or person. Hahnemann stated that homoeopathy stimulates the inner vital force, thus effecting a cure. This inner vital force Hahnemann mentioned, could well be what we now know as the immune system. How this works, nobody really knows. Science cannot prove how homoeopathy works, equally it cannot prove that it does not work. Years of experience and many satisfied customers, with repeat orders, and customers using a wide range of Blue Merle products, for many years, have shown that it does.
